River Road Animal Hospital

Emergency

If you are a current client and have an emergency during normal office hours, please call immediately or come in. While we are not an emergency hospital, we will do our best to work in and stabilize your pet for transport to an emergency or specialty clinic. If we are unable to see them for a full exam or do not have the resources available in our general practice clinic that your pet may need, then transport to another facility will be what is best for your pet.

For after-hours support, we partner with Guardian Vets and you have the option to speak to a veterinary nurse or doctor after hours like they would on a nursing line at a hospital. They can advise you if your pet needs immediate care, if it can wait until we are open, and can also page our doctor on call for specific advice if appropriate.

To reach Guardian Vets simply call our main number at (910) 454-8910, and hit 1 when prompted to reach a veterinary professional.
